Hammock Day is July 22
No better day of the year to take the day off from work and pack a bag of snacks, refreshments, magazines, your favorite book, or your favorite other person and go park yourself on a hammock for the day.
Best if the hammock is between palm trees, but no hammock should be overlooked on this fine silly July Holiday. There are lots of types of hammocks from the self-standing hammocks to hammock swings. Some are perfect for your yard and some for the porch and some you can hang from a tree.
About Hammocks
Hammocks are perhaps one of the ultimate images that symbolizes relaxation, care-free days, not a care in the world, leisure, wasting away the day, doing nothing, worrying about nothing.
Hammocks have their history in being created for sleeping. They were even used on ships as beds. Hammocks these days are made for things like backpacking – so they’re portable, you can put hammocks on boats, on the beach, in the front yard, just about anywhere. So kick off your shoes and leave the iphone at home and spend the day wallowing away your worries as the gentle breeze blows by.
If most people had their way, they’d opt to lounge on a hammock at least once a day.
How Hammocks are Made

Plan a hammock picnic complete with freshly squeezed lemonade, fresh strawberries, baby carrots and anything else you like so that there will be no need to leave your hammock time other than to take a potty break.
