Today is National Peanut Butter day (not to be confused with National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day or National Peanut Month)
What better excuse do you need to eat this gooey nutty spread all day long if you want to. None, I say!
So perhaps you’d like to start the day with peanut butter smoothie made with maybe some almond milk, a shake of cinnamon and a ripe banana.
For lunch why not make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with grape jelly and eat it old school like you did back in the elementary lunch cafeteria complete with chocolate milk out of a box or add a handful of roasted peanuts to your tossed salad for an extra kick of protein.
Need an afternoon pick-me-up? Reese’s peanut butter cups will do just fine.
For dinner…why not show off your nutty culinary skills by whipping up a peanut-garlic stir-fry with fresh chopped broccoli, carrots, peppers and your choice of tofu, chicken or beef.
Of course any true peanut butter lover will tell you to just eat it out of the jar!
