Happy S’mores Day!
August 10th is Smores Day throughout the land and this tasty sweet treat combining marshmellows, chocolate and graham crackers is beyond deserving of its own day of recognition!
Smores have evolved throughout time to encompass many variations on the tried and true traditional smores recipe.
What’s a S’morelette?
Fans of the TV show, Castle, might recall that Detective Richard Castle once made his daughter, Alexa, a s’morelette for breakfast. She didn’t eat it but that doesn’t mean your kids won’t love a smorelette for breakfast.
And what’s more fun to say than the word, s’morelette – truly! In Castle’s case he mixed marshmellows with eggs for a s’more style breakfast. You can do that or create your own version of a smorelette. You can even make a smorelette mcmuffin by eating it between slices of toasted english muffins.
Our friend at Big City Vegan invented a vegan s’morelette using tofu, tumeric, vegan chocolate chips, vegan marshmellows and other ingredients! Learn here how to make it –
